About Us

The Shorufat Center for Globalization and Terrorism Studies (SCGTS) is a private, independent think tank dedicated to advancing research, analysis, and policy solutions related to security, intelligence, and global terrorism. Our work bridges the gap between academia and practical policy by fostering interdisciplinary collaboration among scholars, practitioners, and policymakers.

In today’s era of globalization, transnational threats have grown increasingly interconnected and complex. The rapid flow of people, capital, and information not only drives economic and cultural exchange but also creates new pathways for danger. Terrorist networks exploit these very channels to spread extremist ideologies and execute coordinated attacks, while intelligence agencies adapt by integrating traditional espionage with cutting-edge digital tools. At SCGTS, we focus on understanding this dynamic interplay—how globalization fuels both opportunities and vulnerabilities, how terrorism exploits these processes, and how intelligence frameworks must evolve to protect societies from emerging risks.

By examining these interdependencies, we provide strategic insights that empower decision-makers. Our work emphasizes the importance of robust international cooperation, real-time data sharing, and the safeguarding of civil liberties as essential elements of a comprehensive security framework. Through rigorous research, expert collaboration, and informed policy advocacy, we strive to pave the way for a safer, more resilient global future.

We are committed to generating actionable knowledge, building networks of experts and practitioners, and facilitating informed policy discussions that shape the future of global security. Join us as we explore these critical issues and develop innovative solutions for today’s interconnected security challenges.
